Tucked away within the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Serengeti National Park is the superlative Serengeti Bushtops Camp. With a strong focus on the game viewing experience, you will get to see the wonders of this incredible habitat on morning, afternoon or even full-day game drives. The guides are excellent at finding where the action is as well as tranquil spots to enjoy the scenic beauty of the park (with ice cold refreshments at hand).

The camp itself is a haven of comfort. Here, a selection of beautifully furnished tented suites await, each facing the sunset and able to open on two sides to make the most of the scenic views. The suites are spacious and offer a private deck with sitting and dining areas, a lovely ensuite bathroom with luxurious amenities, and (our favorite) a private hot tub on your deck to unwind after a successful day of game viewing. The restaurant offers a la carte dining as well as a bar area that is well-stocked.

Why We Love It:

We loved meeting our safari guide as well as the local Kuria tribesman who accompanied us on the vehicle. As our hosts so succinctly put it, “their sharp eyes, and unworldly powers of observation, are able to detect movement, spoor and hidden animals”; a skill which really is appreciated.
