Little Governors’ Camp
Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya
You will find Little Governors’ Camp tucked away on the edge of the Masai Mara National Reserve, in a spectacular riverine forest. We loved the short boat across the Mara River to get to the camp, which offered us an incredible glimpse of the wildlife that frequent this flourishing habitat.
Just 17 beautifully furnished tents await at Little Governors’. Each overlooks a seasonal marsh that attracts a brilliant assortment of wildlife. The tents are spacious; boasting expansive, polished wooden decks and lovely ensuite bathrooms.
Wholesome breakfasts and lunches are served al fresco – we were thrilled by the resident family of warthogs that roam freely around the tables. And, on that note, because the camp is unfenced, you will likely find an array of plains game in and around the lodge… as well as elephant who like to make an appearance during lunchtime. Candlelit dinners are served in the dining tent.
