Undoubtedly one of Uganda’s most treasured sanctuaries, Bwindi Lodge is set on the doorstep of the gorilla haven that is the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. With awe-inspiring views, incredible accommodation and warm hospitality, you’ll be hard-pressed not to fall in love with this remote destination. 

Here, just 10 bandas (suites) face the forest, each attended to by a personal butler and offering a lovely ensuite bathroom and a private terrace to take in those dramatic views. After a successful day of trekking, we highly recommend taking advantage of the lodge’s Humula Forest Spa. Aside from offering gorilla and golden monkey treks, Bwindi Lodge is renowned for its cultural excursions and, most notably, the award-winning Bwindi Bar in the high street of a nearby village.
