What will you experience?

Nxai National Park | Zebra Migration

Nxai National Park | Zebra Migration

Experience the world’s longest terrestrial migration on the expansive salt pans of Nxai Pan National Park and Makgadikgadi. With the rainy season comes an explosion of life in this area, as an estimated 20,000 zebra have migrated from Chobe into the Nxai National Park. Accompanying them on the now lush green grasslands are a variety of antelopes like springbok, oryx and wildebeest - all with newborns finding their feet. It's a burst of life!

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives searching for the herds, and desert adapted predators like the Kalahari lion, cheetah and even wild dogs! With the rains comes migrating birds and over 200 bird species can now be spotted across the variety of habitats - including flamingos who have flown across to take advantage of the shallow pans.

Okavango Delta

Okavango Delta

To put it simply, there is no other place in Africa quite as magical and heart-stealing as the Okavango Delta. The largest inland delta in the world, this wetland remains to be one of the last untouched wilderness destinations on the continent. With diverse landscapes and a variety of wildlife like red lechwe, elephants, buffalo, leopard, lion and wild dogs! Today - thanks to huge conservation efforts over the past decade - rhino can also be found!

In the rainy season - between December and March - antelopes give birth so there is an abundance of new life. And with the lower water levels in some areas, you can expect dramatic predator and prey interactions on the open grassy plains.

Further north, luxury lodges are situated on more permanent water - Providing water activities like mokoros and motor-boat safaris all-year round!

Linyanti Wildlife Reserve

Linyanti Wildlife Reserve

For a remote safari experience off the beaten path, you can't miss the opportunity to visit Linyanti Game Reserve. This unspoiled and frankly under-visited destination is the perfect opportunity to experience Africa's wildlife off the grid. The concession feels raw and natural, like a safari of years passed, with a very high concentration of game for your viewing.

At this time of year, the famous Savuti channel invites a variety of antelopes to its lush green banks, providing dramatic interactions with the predators in the region like lion, leopard and wild dog. The area is specifically known for its elephants, arguably hosting the continent's largest mega herds!

Enjoy river cruises on the Linyanti River and expect to see herds of elephants along the bank, with hippos, crocodiles and buffalo as company. Other activities include walking safaris, motor boating safaris and scenic helicopter flights.
