Perched high on the rim of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley, with seemingly endless views of one of Africa’s most iconic wilderness destinations, the Masai Mara, is the enchanting Angama Mara. Here, expect nothing less than attentive, unobtrusive service, warm hospitality and exceptional interiors.
Divided into two camps of 15 tented suites each, the team at Angama has gone all out to ensure you want for nothing. The tented suites are incredibly spacious and boast floor-to-ceiling glass windows that make the most of the expansive views – and we mean from all angles – from your bed and sitting room to your bath and toilet. We really liked the uncluttered and modern interiors, especially the splashes of vibrant red material and the brass finishes.
The main area is open plan and includes an array of dining and sitting areas (both indoor and al fresco) as well as a bar area to ensure a convivial atmosphere at all times. Additional areas include the Map Room where all safari orientation and education takes place, as well as a library and one-acre Shamba (Swahili for kitchen garden).
