This exclusive boutique hotel is situated on 12 acres of private land, within 140 acres of indigenous forest, on the outskirts of Kenya’s capital of Nairobi. It is the perfect destination to start or end your safari in Kenya.  

The historic manor house harks back to the 1930s when the legendary safaris of old spun tales of romance and adventure. Here, you will find six, lovingly remodeled and refurbished into luxurious rooms. Alternatively, in addition to the manor house, you can also choose to enjoy the comforts of the six rooms at the Garden Manor, which was built in 2011 and stands right next door. Reclaimed materials from the 1930s were used to ensure that its design replicates that of the main house. All of the rooms have beautiful views and ensuite bathrooms. Undoubtedly the star attraction of the manor is the resident herd of Rothschild’s giraffes who may visit morning and evening.

WHY WE LOVE IT:

We had the privilege of experiencing close-up encounters with the semi-habituated giraffes, which truly created an unforgettable memory. Guest favorites include enjoying breakfast as the giraffes pop their heads through the cafe windows, or enjoying high tea with the animals (warthogs included) by your side.

Insider Tip: If the main manor is fully booked for your travel dates, we can look at adding another Safari Collection property to your itinerary to allow you access to the Garden Manor. The Garden Manor is reserved for guests extending with Safari Collection lodges, so a few extra days on safari may be your ticket to Giraffe Manor!
