Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp

Hidden amongst the shade of acacia trees, on the eastern edge of the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, is the delightful Lemala Ngorongoro Tented Camp. We’ve found that heading down into the crate can sometimes be a lengthy process but the camp’s prime location negates this as it is situated on the quieter, Lemala crater access road. This means it only takes between 10 and 15 minutes to gain access to the wonders of the crater – bliss.
At Lemala, you will find nine beautifully furnished tents, swathed with linens and furniture of cream and earthy hues. The tents’ spacious ensuite bathrooms contain a dressing area, flush toilet and a large safari-style shower. One of the tents boasts two bedrooms – perfect for generational travel. Hearty menus are served in the inviting mess tent, and in the evening guests can gather around a roaring fire to swap tales of the day’s sightings and adventures.
