Sarara Camp
Laikipia Plateau, Kenya
Set amidst the rolling slopes of the Matthews Mountains, within the Namunyak Conservancy, in the awe-inspiring Laikipia Plateau region, is the beautiful Sarara Camp.
This enchanting camp pays homage to the conservancy’s pristine wilderness as well as ancient Samburu culture with thoughtful design pieces and accents such as intricate beadwork and handcrafted wooden pieces, scattered throughout the expansive main areas and spacious luxury tents.
Each tent has been carefully positioned to make the most of the breathtaking views of the mountain range and a nearby waterhole that is popular with the region’s wildlife. Unwind amidst soothing, earth-colored interiors and enjoy all the luxury amenities one could ask for from a remote safari destination. The tents boast a lovely ensuite bathroom and a private veranda.
In addition to the tents, the camp also offers the exclusive two-bedroom Sarara House – perfect for families or small groups. The house has become famous for its elephants, who regularly visit its pool. The camp’s main areas include a refreshing infinity pool, a comfortable lounge, convivial bar area and dining areas.
