This is a visually stunning lodge, which somehow effortlessly blends rustic charm with contemporary design influences. Tswalu’s The Motse is set within South Africa’s famous Kalahari Desert – offering a unique take on a South African safari adventure. Here, not only will you have access to the usual wildlife suspects but also to a world of rarely seen creatures such as meerkats. 

The lodge has been designed with couples and families in mind. It boasts just nine legaes (suites) that are spacious and beautifully appointed. Families can take advantage of three family suites. Each legae has a sitting area with a wood-burning stove, a study area, and a private, shaded veranda with a large daybed. A waterhole in front of the main guest area attracts a variety of wildlife, especially in the dry season. The guest areas include a selection of areas to unwind and dine, as well as two swimming pools, a fire pit for sundowners, library, boma, boutique store, gym, and Tswalu Spa.
